“Art is Talent” — No, art is practise.

“Art is Talent” — No, art is practise.
It began in lockdown, sometime around 2019. Every day, on long silent walks, I started gathering wild flowers — nothing planned, nothing structured. Just stems collected from the hedgerows, carried home, and placed in jam jars. It became my ritual: a quiet moment to notice shape, colour, and the way nature composes itself without ever trying.
Those small gatherings evolved into a practice. I studied how blooms curve, how they lean, how they soften or command space. I learned to embrace imperfection, allowing stems to fall into their natural gestures — sculptural, intuitive, expressive. Over time, what began as a simple pastime became a discipline; a language of form, shadow, and movement.
Here we are today, creating sculpture pieces, in my very own studio. Persistence is key.
